Bad credit and no cosigner. Can someone help me out here?

I am a full time college student at a local community college. I have parents who refuse to pay for my education beyond community college. I am the only child of two going through college too! Well the thing is last year when I was 18 I screwed up my credit really bad. Now that I'm older and have responsibilities - I highly regret not taking better precaution with my spending habits. My parents won't co-sign a loan b/c they are ignorant thinking I won't pay them back. I am a really motivated girl with dreams of becoming a Psychologist. To make this come true I need at least another 5 years of school. Can someone help me sleep at night knowing I can pursue my dream?!
