  1. Basically just paying ALL your bills on time.
  2. Cell phone providers usually only report late or non payment, so you are helping your credit score because a late payment or collection account will reduce. A credit card of cosigned loan paid monthly will boost it. Capital One has a credit card for students w/o credit- starts w/ a $500.00 credit limit. Good way to establish credit. Good Luck!
  3. Pretty much paying for anything that you have to make payments on improves your credit. I believe that paying phone bills, credit cards, and the like help a little. Where as paying for your car and house boost it more. They figure if you can't pay for your house then you must not care enough to pay for the smaller stuff. If you want to boost your score the best way is to make all your payments on time. Or find a credit card that gives you cash back and just use your credit card to buy stuff. However make sure you spend only what you can afford to pay off monthly. This way you get the benefits that the card offers but you don't get charged any interest because you always keep a zero balance.
  4. Cell phone companies, rent, utilities and gym memberships are not reported to the credit bureaus unless you do not pay them and they are sent to collections. This is because they are not considered loans. Things that are reported are credit cards (revolving) and loans for autos, boats, furniture, homes, motorcycles and personal loans (installment).
