How can I get financial help to buy a home with bad credit in oregon?

I am a first time homebuyer and I am tired of paying rent but my husband has so so credit and i have bad credit. anyone know of where i can get help?

1. Have you pulled your credit to see what your credit really looks like? If not, its the only way to find out whether your credit is as bad you think. For example, when applying for a mortgage, medical collections are ignored. Credit over the last 12 months is most important. If you're renting, have you been 30 days late ever on your rent. Even if your credit is not so good you can compensate for that by purchasing a home that is well within your spending limit (low debt to income ratio) or if you have savings or money in a 401k/pension program at work. There are down payment assistance programs to help with your down payment. There are avenues but first you need to look at your credit report. You can do that from a lot of sites on line or you can ask a loan officer to pull your credit for you. If you need additional information, please email me.
