If you start a small business and want to get a business credit card do they look at your personal credit scor

I have heard they only look at your business credit score and not your personal. Is this true. I am also talking about a company that wouldnt even make more than 100,000 a year in revenue.

  1. When I got my business credit card it was based on my personal credit history, but now that I have the card it doesn't show up on my personal credit report. I put my social on the application as well.
  2. Assuming your business will be a proprietorship, partnership, or S-corporation, then they will either qualify it with your personal credit, or with a hard asset as collaterol such as a CD.
  3. no, they only look at the business credit score, but you are charged monthly for a business credit card. Sure you don't want to just use your own card and keep the recipts? But yeah, businesses get an awful lot of credit, I was supprised!
  4. They will look at both your personal and your business's credit history. I had called American Express. If you pay on time, than in future business card will not show up in your personal credit report but if you have any credit problem ( late payments etc.), the bank will report this to your personal credit history also. Now you can get no-fee Business Cards also. Even American Express has one.
