Is everyone supposed to know their personal credit score?

I don't know mine. Is this something everyone else knows 'cept me? Do I NEED to know it?

  1. You should check yearly. This will alert you to mistakes, identity theft or long forgotten unpaid debt
  2. No it's just a scam
  3. I don't know my actual numeric score, but i do check my credit reports regularly to make sure that they are accurate.
  4. I have bought 4 houses. I have never known mine. Major lenders do not look at your scores. They look at your report in detail, your employment history, and your salary. They get the score just so they can give you a number when you get turned down. I call the Fico the FACO. What's important is that you know what's on your report and know how to keep it in pristine shape. Scores are useles.. /
  5. No you don't. I don't know what my score is at this moment.
