  1. buy a less than $10,000 car using a loaner, then pay it all off after a month. =D best and fastest way. or just do it the normal way build your credit using a credit card
  2. under 680 it is VERY hard to get a loan these days Work to get it over 760 where you can get the best rates.
  3. Everyone has student loans - they are not bad. They will count against the amount of monthly mortgage payments you can qualify for, but don't sweat it. I built up 800+ scores in a couple of years. I got 2 credit cards, one for gas, and one for food. I paid them off in full each month, without ever being late, or paying a penny interest. Now, new credit is derrogatory to your scores for 6 months. So do not open anything 6 months before buying a home. Also, never close any accounts you have opened from the past. You will be deleteling credit history. Getting a credit card is the easiest way to boost scores - just NEVER, EVER carry a balance. Your b/f needs to make his credit cards down to 0 ASAP. Or at least down below 30% of their available credit limits. /
  4. Here are some tips: 1) do not let people pull your credit (each time drops it alittle) 2) Never cancel a paid off credit card, if you have nothing on it, put it in a draw and save it. The longer you have a credit line, helps. 3) Pay down bills, 4) Switch out some money off of amaxed out card to a card that doen't have anything on it (try to stay below 50% on any card. Try these.
