Can I still rent an apartment these days with a lousy credit score?
I've never missed a rent payment, but I have missed some credit card payments in the past.

- I rent, and my credit wasn't check out. I think it depends on where you live, and who you are renting from.
- Right now, apartment owners are not being picky. With the economy being so bad, they are pretty open to anyone that will pay them. Go out there and try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
- Some places still require good credit. All they really look for though are evictions or anything on your credit from a landlord. As long as you have a steady income with proof they are pretty flexible unless its like a real upscale place then they require a certain credit score.Good luck.
- You should get a co-signer, that way you are most likely to be accepted.
- It is possible but most landlords will require a bigger deposit or a co-signer.
