If someone has bad credit will that hurt their chances for being on the amazing race?
if you have bad credit, meaning late payments, some chargeoffs, etc. no bk or foreclosure or repossesions, just some older stuff on your credit, and some missed payments will that disqualify you in the producers eyes for being on the amazing race? or any reality show for that matter. I always wondered that. Do you have to have perfect credit to be on the amazing race? i would think so.

- I don't see why they would care. They want to see how you would make entertaining tv and conflicts. As long as they don't think you're going to stab another contestant to win they couldn't care less about your financial situation.
- WHY would it? It's a Reality show, it has NOTHING to do with your credit, they shouldn't even check your credit!
- I don't think you need perfect credit but they do lots of checks into your background, financial, personal, psychology to make sure you can endure the challenges. They mainly what someone who is not psychotic yet a good story. So if you present yourself as charismatic, sane, and engaging they will want you. I'm sure they do credit checks b/c it's a part of their extensive background checks but it probably won't hinder your application.
