2. The cheapest pre-built computers you can buy run about 300 dollars from places like WalMart. Personnally, I build all my computers and save a bunch. The last one I built cost me about $1200 - but to buy a smiliar machine already built would have cost me well over $2000. You can buy parts from places like www.zipzoomfly.com - and it doesn't take a genius to put the pieces together. Another option is getting one from Rent-a-center, credit isn't an issue, you just pay the monthly rent until it's paid off. Unfortunately you end up paying nearly double what you would have paid out-right for one.
