If you use your debit card as a credit card does that help increase your FICO Score like a credit card?

  1. No it will not. Debit cards are not reported to any of the credit reporting agencies. It is because your usage of credit cards does not tell anything about your "credit" charecteristics, after all it is your money. George Philip, Elavatta
  2. no it does not it will only show do to the account at the bank. if the bank even does it on checking/savings accounts.
  3. No, it has nothing to do with that. The difference is that you don't have to enter a pin, but you do have to sign it. And payment will probably process in a couple days compared to immediately posting using the debit feature.
  4. NO, financial institutions don't report you to credit companys unless its a loan, if its just a bank account they don't report.

  6. No, it is still not a credit card. In order to be reported you have to actually have money owed that you make a payment on.
