Can anyone please tell me of a good car lender for bad credit?

- Credit unions are good for this. I found that the car dealers have always found someone to loan me money. Even when I could not!
- There is always someone who will lend you money. But for what interrest rate is the question you should be asking.
- While some credit unions may be more lenient with certain criteria for lending to its members, very few will lend to those with bad credit, period. You have basically 3 options. The first is to allow the finance department of a traditional dealership to try to arrange financing for you. They deal with buyers of all kinds and many lenders that specialize in higher-risk lending (at considerably higher interest rates). The second is to purchase from an established dealership chain who specializes in financing buyers with poor credit (like J.D. Byrider) albeit at highly-inflated prices and equally high interest rates. The third and last (resort) are "buy here pay here" lots that charge high prices and interest and require large downpayments for lower-quality vehicles. While they are the only options available to some, they are also the most aggressive to repossess and will do so at the drop of a hat (or being as little as 1 day late with a payment). You should pursue your alternatives in the above order, keeping in mind that numerous credit inquiries from potential lenders can have a negative impact upon your credit history in and of themselves. Best of luck. I hope this helps.
- There are no "good" lenders to people with bad credit. They are ALL overpriced. Your only option may be a buy here pay here car dealer and you cant miss them, they are everywhere with big signs that say "we finance anyone that breathes" and such.
