With a credit score of 530, will I have problems getting an apartment?

My credit score is now 530 due to several accounts that went delinquent earlier this year that are now current and in a credit counseling program. Will I have problems getting approved for a new apartment lease?

1. Tell your landord exactly what you have told us. Including that you are in a credit councelling program. If the landlords seems reluctant, you may have to pay a couple of extra months rent in advance. I actually paid one place 3 extra months to get an apartment. /
2. yes you will have a difficult time if they run credit. they will consider you a very very high risk of default. 5% chance you can actually pay 12 months in a row of rent on time. Consider a shorter term lease (3-6 months).
